VirtuAir

The platform was created as part of the project "VirtuAir Reality - designing a future in aviation careers using the virtual reality of the airport", which benefits from funding worth EUR 176,182.67 from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA funds.

About the project

The aim of the project is to develop vocational education for the aviation industry by preparing, evaluating and implementing innovative virtual reality-based career classes for pupils and students, a career platform for all those interested, resources for teachers and counsellors, and to hold a conference for the latter.

The project is carried out jointly by the following partners.

Foundation Institute for Education and Entrepreneurship Development (IREP) The foundation was established in 2013. Its activities include supporting the development of education and entrepreneurship in Poland, focusing primarily on supporting nurseries and kindergartens as well as local governments in creating friendly facilities for children aged 0-7.
Kraków Airport Aviation Education Centre (CEL), An organisational unit of Kraków Airport, the Aviation Education Centre is a unique hub for the popularisation and dissemination of knowledge in the field of civil aviation. It offers classes for people of all ages on various airport- and travel-related topics.
ISAVIA ISAVIA is the operator and provider of airport and air navigation services in Iceland. The company serves all public airports and air navigation services in the country. Isavia has extensive and ambitious training programmes in place.
Simpro Simpro is a spin-out of Nano Games, a company making professional training simulators using the VR technology for staff training in security procedures and threats, dedicated to the aviation industry and critical infrastructure operators, among other clients.
